A book that’s
“out of this world!”
Who is the first person you would meet when you get to Heaven? You may be surprised! That’s what happens to the folks on a fantastical bus trip in C.S. Lewis’s story The Great Divorce. The narrator of the story joins this group and listens in on the startling conversations with the people they see in Heaven. Along the way, he begins to think about our Christian life. Why are the visitors so unwilling to let go of certain things in their life? And are they really loving others in the way God asks of us?
Join the conversation in The Great Divorce with our seminarian Alex Elfreich for a summer book group. We will meet every other Wednesday, starting June 27. There will be two opportunities to meet on each date: a morning gathering in the St Joseph rectory basement, and an evening gathering at the St Alphonsus log cabin.
