Reconciliation

“Jesus said to Peter, ‘I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven’” (Matthew 16:19)

Sometimes simply called “Penance” or “Confession”, the SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION was instituted by Jesus in order to provide a perpetual means for God’s boundless mercy and forgiveness to be administered by a priest for the benefit of a penitent.  By means of this Holy Sacrament, Jesus assures all people of right relationship with Him and His Church.

Sacred Scripture teaches that right relationship with the Church is inseparable from right relationship with God; that is, they are one and the same reality.

The Sacrament of Reconcilation is available before every daily Mass and Saturday afternoon from 4:00 pm until 4:30 pm.  The Sacrament is also available anytime by request.  Don’t worry about how long it has been or what you are to say, there are helpful guides in church or online and any priest will help you.
