We will continue to offer Family Faith Formation during the school year of 2025-2026, which is being used in parishes and dioceses across the country and offers immense value.

This program is based on the principle that parents are the primary educators of their children in the faith (Catechism of the Catholic Church #2223-26). Family faith formation equips parents to pass on a well-formed Catholic faith as they fulfill their role as the primary educators of their children. Children from K-8th grades and their parents meet at church for a teaching once a month. Sessions are led by faith-filled catechists who desire to walk with families as they encounter the Lord in a deeper way. At these meetings, parents are provided with weekly home lessons (requiring approximately 30 minutes per week) to instruct their children until the next monthly gathering. The family faith formation program is driven by Scripture, is doctrinally sound, references the Catechism of the Catholic Church and has been approved by the United States Bishops.

This program replaces PSR and is required of all families who do not send their children in K-8th grades to Catholic school, as well as for reception of the Sacraments. All parish families are invited to participate, including those who are enrolled in Catholic school.
